Following on from our much-loved Highland 18 Year Old, this is the final release of our undisclosed Highland stock from a very well-known island distillery.
Below are the tasting notes from the 18 Year Old – this is the same liquid, just further aged (new tasting notes will be available soon!!)

Nose: A beautiful peated spirit, gently aged for 18 years in refill wood – perfect! Charred Hazelnuts, dusty peated malt/grist, Burnt sage, rosemary, oily fishing ropes, tar and creels. Crushed seashells and heather smoke. Touches of fruits – quince and apple peel.

Palate: At 48.5% it delivers! Very powerful with sharp citrus, heather honey, stewed apples, minerality – salt and wet slate. Some smoked ham, anchovies and capers in brine. Malty, Salty and moreish.

Finish: salty peanut brittle, the peat stays – and is powerful—quite earthy and robust – with lingering cigar smoke.
